Putting the brakes on breast cancer in the month of October with Brakes For Breasts.
This year for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Chico Car Care will be joining hands with auto repair companies across the fifty states to donate to a great cause, the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Research Fund. If each and every person reading this article was asked to raise their hands for a family member, relative or friend affected by breast cancer, we would notice how closely we are tied by this disease that affects millions of women and men worldwide. To support the efforts of Brakes for Breasts, the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) and Dr. Vincent Tuohy and his team at the Cleveland Clinic, Chico Car Care is offering free brake pads for the month of October at our Chico facility.
Not your ordinary charity fund. Dr. Vincent Tuohy and his team at the Cleveland clinic have successfully tested a vaccine for breast cancer that, when successful, could be administered at a young age to make breast cancer a worry of the past, like measles or polio for our generation. In the last year alone, nearly 210,000 new cases of breast cancer were diagnosed, yet the cause remains generally unknown. The only challenge left is funding for human trials. Join Chico Car Care this month, as we offer free brake pads for every brake service. All of our customers at the Chico facility will only be charged for labor and other parts on brake services, while 10% of that brake service will be donated to the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Research Fund.
